Welcome to Rate My Landing! This guide will help you get started with analyzing your landing performance in Microsoft Flight Simulator.

What is Rate My Landing?

Rate My Landing is a free add-on application for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 & 2024 that provides real-time analysis of your landing performance. Using SimConnect technology, it captures precise data about your touchdown and provides instant feedback with scoring.

System Requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 or 2024
  • Windows 10 (64-bit) or newer
  • SimConnect SDK (included with MSFS)
  • 50 MB free disk space

Supported Aircraft

  • All fixed-wing aircraft
  • Default and third-party aircraft
  • Airliners, GA, and military aircraft
  • Helicopters not currently supported
Note: Rate My Landing is currently in Alpha testing. Some features may be limited or under development.

First Steps

  1. Download the application from our Flightsim.to page
  2. Install the application using our installation guide
  3. Launch MSFS and start a flight
  4. Open Rate My Landing (can be done before or after MSFS)
  5. Perform a landing and watch the magic happen!

Understanding Your First Landing Report

When you complete your first landing, you'll see a report showing:

Vertical Speed

Your descent rate at touchdown measured in feet per minute (FPM). Softer is better!

G-Forces

Maximum G-forces experienced during landing. Lower values indicate smoother touchdowns.

Landing Score

Overall landing rating from 0-100 based on multiple factors including technique and conditions.

Airport Info

Details about where you landed including runway surface, weather conditions, and airport data.
