Before you begin: Make sure you have Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 or 2024 installed and working properly.

Download Rate My Landing

Rate My Landing is available as a free download from Flightsim.to, the premier community for Microsoft Flight Simulator add-ons.

Download the latest version from our official Flightsim.to page to ensure you get the authentic, virus-free version.

Installation Steps

  1. Visit the Rate My Landing page on Flightsim.to
  2. Click the "Download" button
  3. Save the installer file to your Downloads folder
  4. The file will be named something like RateMyLanding_Setup_v0.2.0.1.exe
Security Note: Your antivirus may flag the installer as it's a new application. This is normal - you can safely add an exception.

  1. Right-click on the downloaded installer file
  2. Select "Run as administrator" (recommended)
  3. If Windows SmartScreen appears, click "More info" then "Run anyway"
  4. Follow the installation wizard prompts
  5. Choose your installation directory (default is recommended)
  6. Wait for the installation to complete
Tip: The default installation location is C:\Program Files\Rate My Landing\

  1. Launch Rate My Landing from the Start Menu or desktop shortcut
  2. The application will perform a first-time setup
  3. Windows may ask for firewall permissions - click "Allow"
  4. The app will check for SimConnect compatibility
  5. You should see "Ready to connect" status
Success! If you see the main interface, installation was successful!

Verification

To verify that Rate My Landing is installed correctly:

Check Installation
  • Desktop shortcut created
  • Start Menu entry added
  • Application launches without errors
SimConnect Status
  • Status shows "Ready to connect"
  • No connection errors displayed
  • Version info is displayed

Common Installation Issues

Issue Cause Solution
Installer won't run Windows SmartScreen or antivirus Add exception and run as administrator
App won't launch Missing Visual C++ Redistributable Install latest VC++ Redist from Microsoft
SimConnect errors MSFS not installed or corrupted Verify MSFS installation integrity

Uninstallation

If you need to uninstall Rate My Landing:

  1. Go to Windows Settings → Apps
  2. Search for "Rate My Landing"
  3. Click "Uninstall" and follow the prompts
  4. Your landing history data will be preserved unless you choose to delete it
